I heard this place was great for barbecue and it refilled my expectations I ordered the barbecue plate-beef, and both the fries and the beef as well as the Coast Guard were perfect Nothing fancy about this place but they do barbecue right. I was amazed at how many people fit it in this establishment-judging by the outside one would think it was a very small restaurant.

I enjoyed this place! After hiking Sweetwater State Park, a large group of us headed to Beaver Creek Biscuit Company to grab breakfast. The breakfast is really cheap! I got a chicken breakfast plate for ~$5 which consisted of fried chicken (no bones), scrambled eggs, grits, and a biscuit. The fried chicken and biscuit were both good. The scrambled eggs were cooked well but needed some salt and pepper. Grits were plain grits w/some butter. I also ordered some BBQ to go since I saw so many yelp reviews raving about it. I ordered the beef plate for ~$8. Was a little surprised that the beef was chopped. It was pretty good, moist. I also liked the sauce that came on the side and had a mustard flavor, just wished they gave more sauce. The plate also comes with 2 sides and 2 slices of white bread--I got the baked beans and cole slaw which were both very tasty. It's definitely not the best BBQ I've ever had but I liked it. Service is friendly and the food is fast.

I came into twin looking for a place to eat, I also look for a local place. I found this place! On the wall are news paper reviews, friendly staff. From the gravel parking lot I could smell the hickory smoke. I ask what is the most common thing ordered for lunch, ribs and friend chicken. Ok let's try the fried chicken. It was freshly made at the time of order fried in peanut oil. It was delicious. The place had mom's with their young children to industrial workers and local truck drivers lined up! A true local favorite. The prices are very reasonable. Try it!

Great place for breakfast. Definitely a gem of a find. Close enough to the local airport to run and grab some tasty biscuits and gravy. Outstanding value as well, just about everything they had for breakfast including a plate full of food was under $5.00!! Can't beat that anywhere. They also had their. Smokehouse up and running around 9am so they are obviously serious about BBQ. I will be back and hopefully it will be around lunchtime to get some of that BBQ!!

When we first pulled up it looked like a truck stop shack but I wasn't afraid to go in like my friend. We ordered the bacon breakfast to go, service was really friendly and fast. The bacon and grits were average but the biscuits were amazing! I don't like scrambled eggs so I sub them for sliced tomatoes which were also really really good. I can't wait to go back one day to try the bbq.

    O. M. G. You need more stars to give this place the proper rating. I literally have never tasted a biscuit this good (don't tell my grandma). It's your perfect low key southern breakfast place with delicious food and if costing you (chicken biscuit, lg grits and lg sweet tea and all) a whopping $7. I wish this place was next to my house because I would seriously come every day.

I love this place. The Seminole sauce is spicy tangy and I've never tasted a sauce quite like it. I put it on a pork biscuit, and it was deeeeeelocious. The smoker was booming at 9am , hope I get to come back for a pork plate.

5 big stars!! This BBQ is the best, and the fries are so so addicting. They are super quick and delicious. I usually get the pork plate which comes with 2 sides for $8, and it is totally worth it. I have heard that their breakfast is also delicious, but have not been myself. This place is a company favorite between myself and my coworkers. 100% recommend.

Absolutely enjoy this place! Staff is extremely nice and energetic regardless of how early it's open. I also like how they had a bilingual staff, although we did know how to speak English :) The food is delicious. I ordered the chicken and egg biscuit and that's all I order now! Everything was cooked to perfection. Biscuits are the best. No doubt. Also, service is really quick! Quicker than I expected! Which was really satisfying since I was starving before a long car trip. Although the biscuit was a bit small, it filled me up. Prices may seem a bit on the expensive side at first, but let me tell you now... It's definitely worth it! No other place has given me that "home made" feel, ever. This is real food. You will NOT leave this play unhappy. I guarantee you that :)

Very good!! Had a cheeseburger and fries with a side of beans. All delicious and the beans were amazing!!! Can't wait to try a BBQ platter next time.

"Breakfast Bowl" and a sausage link. An awesome start to the day! The biscuits are excellent, what I lovingly call "Cathead Biscuits." I've never eaten the BBQ, but my coworkers all say it's incredible... the packed parking lot is testimony to the quality of the food.

My friend has been coming here for many years. He discovered this place when he was working in the construction industry and they came for breakfast and lunch often. It must look a sketchy, hole in the wall from the outside, but they sure know how to cook here. Let's start with the breakfast. They have several biscuits that all come with me options. Our favorite is the biscuits with sausage gravy. The biscuits are never hard and that the gravy is never too runny or too thick. Its always perfectly done. Their barbecue is pretty good, but it does it come a vinegar and mustard sauce which isn't my favorite. Still no complaints. They do a good job with it. Keep in mind this isn't a place with a large assortment of items, but what they serve they do very well.

The sheer number of 18 wheelers that practically run you off the road trying to get here is proof positive that the food here is literally to die for! Lol! The service is quick, the portions are generous and the people are friendly. Come hungry -leave happy!!

Best BBQ in the South bar none. I travel all over the country and always look forward to Turners pulled pork and Brunswick stew. Wonderful people behind the counter where you're always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. Get there early as the parking lot fills up as folks stop in for their fix of pig done right.

Awesome BBQ/ breakfast spot! My office eats here at least twice a week. They have "chili-dog" Wednesdays that we never miss.

I've been reading about Beaver Creek for a while and since it's only about 5 minutes from where I work I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Plate with cheese grits. My complaints: - the grits weren't hot enough to melt the slice of cheese placed on top of the grits. - the eggs were a little bland and not scrambled to my preference. My compliments: - The thin, breaded chicken breast had a great flavor. - THE BISCUIT! OHHHHHH THE BISCUIT! That was by far the best BISCUIT that I have ever eaten. I was tempted to take a couple with me. The BISCUITs made the rest of the meal almost irrelevant. I will definitely be back, but next time it'll probably just be a chicken BISCUIT. Sorry about the caps, but that BISCUIT did something to me.

Did not enjoy the breakfast biscuits here. Did not feel the love. Country Ham had an old flavor to me and biscuit was just heavy and doughy. Maybe should stick to bbq.

  • Bill B.

Wanted to try the biscuits but low carb diet precludes that. The pork alone is tender and flavorful, and the sauce is good but not necessary. I'll definitely be back, hopefully when I'm eligible for the delicious looking biscuits.

Great pulled pork, fried chicken sandwich, mustard sauce, bbq beans. Plus: Cherry Fanta in the fountain. Hope I get back to try breakfast.

Wonderfully pleasant staff, great atmosphere, and food to die for! Their Brunswick stew is incredible, the slaw is perfect, and if you get anything without he Seminole sauce you are doing yourself a disservice. If you are in the area please do yourself the favor of eating here

  • Diesel P.

While working in the area, I came over here for lunch. I was told that the breakfast was the reason to be here. I ordered a Chopped BBQ plate that came with a heap of fries. The fries were great. I did really enjoy them over 90% of the places I have had fries. The BBQ was as average as average gets. And the BBQ sauce was below average. They just aren't putting enough spice it there. It is awlful bland. If your in the area, judge for yourself. But it doesn't compare to Heirlooms in the slightest. I will probably go back and try something else just for the fries!

Awesome BBQ at Lunch with large portions and cheap. Ordered the BBQ chopped plate with Fries. Banana pudding is just ok.

I would lie if I said if I lived in the Atlanta area, my every morning would not begin at this place. Approaching Beaver Creek Biscuit Company it looked like a foggy morning, but when I opened the car door I was embraced by warm smokey hickory. My empty, grumbling stomach welcomed the cloud of barbeque. Within my first visit, along with my plate of hot grits, fried tenderloin, scrambled eggs and soft biscuit, a man who seemed like one of the owners greeted us with a warm familiar smile. Beaver Creek Biscuit Company has been in business for over 11 years and the friendly owner proudly beamed that their biscuit recipe carries multiple State Fair titles. With one bite, I would not expect any less. The tender biscuit is delicate with soft crumbs, yet is substantial enough to carry fried chicken or fried pork tenderloin and scrambled eggs. On my second visit I opted for the fried chicken and egg sandwich and listening to the orders while I ate, this seemed to be a popular choice too. Both the chicken and pork are tender and flavorful and pair well with soft scrambled eggs. While their namesake highlights biscuits and breakfast is brisk, I'm told their barbeque is best. They start tending to their barbeque meats 3-4 days before serving and if you though breakfast was busy, wait until you see the lunch crowd. I've only had the good fortune of joining them for breakfast, but can't wait to try their lunch. If you're anywhere near the Atlanta area, I recommend you make your way to Beaver Creek Biscuit Company. Get up early, swiftly make it through the line with truck drivers, fire fighters and everyday folks who have been lining up at Beaver Creek before the sunrise for years and have yourself one of the best tasting breakfast sandwiches in America.

This place is a bit out of the way but I would travel long distances to eat here again. The staff was very friendly and the prices were crazy budget friendly. Order the biscuit with egg, sausage and cheese. Yum!

Great BBQ, try the fries with the pulled pork on top (can't remember the name) but I remember the taste. Wow! It is a meal in itself. Some great tasting sauces.

This Grilled Chicken Sandwich is just as good as a Chic Fil A Grilled Sandwich! Wow! I see why there were tons of cars here around lunch time! I can only imagine what their BBQ tastes like! Wow!

Well I'm currently writing this review as I sit here. Let me start with first impressions. First driving in, it looked like a small hole in the wall. Considered not giving it a try, but I'm glad I did. The staff was extremely friendly. The place was clean. I got the steak plate. Did not like the steak ( fried steak) but the eggs and biscuits with gravy were quite good. I suggest bacon instead. Ordered the sweet tea which was good too.The fresh baked brownie was to die for. a good southern feel to it once you sit down. Good portions, decent prices. It's worth trying instead of going to your average chain restaurants.

Five stars for a few reasons: The Food and the atmosphere. The friendly staff. The fact that there are ZERO decent restaurants within 20 miles of this place. I've only been here for lunch and I can't wait till I get a chance to try breakfast. It's like a sweet little light in the darkness of empty office parks, 4 Way stopsigns and odd, semi-abandoned houses. It looks like you can eat at a picnic table under a tin shed animal roof when the weather is nice. Otherwise, go inside and order your meal at the counter then pick a table and relax. I also liked that they didn't treat me like I was an idiot because I didn't know what to do or hadn't been there before. The young lady smiled and made me feel welcome and that goes a long way when you are a stranger in a strange land. OK then the pork BBQ was yummy, the beans were smoky good and HOT (thermally) and the slaw was light and sweet. I'm going tomorrow with my friends. Plan to try the fried chicken sandwich and fries.

Always amazing food. Just gotta get in there at the right time of the day or else you'll end up standing in line. Breakfast is better than lunch, imo. Both are still fantastic!

Stopped in today for the first time. Ordered the ribs and Brunswick stew since there's not much else you can eat here that's Paleo. The plate came with 2 sides but unfortunately all they offered was pretty unhealthy so I had to just take the hit and not get anything but the stew. It would be nice to have either some collards, side salad, or even sliced tomatoes but no dice. Anyway...back to the ribs. They were cooked very tender so no complaints there and with a great smoke flavor. The only complaint was that I had to spend 3 minutes and a half of a roll of paper towels to remove the nasty sugar sauce they poured all over my ribs without asking if I wanted it. I started to take it back to get some other ones but since it was my first time I decided to just wipe them myself. The owner said I needed to ask for no sauce next time I came in. :)

I love a good breakfast biscuit sandwich, and the 'burbs to the North and West of Atlanta seem to have some pretty good ones. I love Mountain Biscuits and Stilesboro Biscuits (both in Kennesaw), but Beaver Creek takes the cake (or biscuit?). The biscuits are more on the cakey as opposed to the flaky side, but they are still light in texture. It also doesn't hurt that they're served fresh out of the oven and are huge in size! The pork tenderloin is breaded and fried, and though I usually prefer it grilled or broiled on a biscuit, it had a lot of flavor and was very juicy. The country ham was deliciously salty and greasy, in the way good country ham is. We added an egg to each biscuit, and though I was surprised they came out scrambled, each was a huge portion and made one biscuit alone a very filling breakfast. I also appreciated their self-serve fountain coca cola machine with pellet ice, though they do keep the coffee behind the counter if you need your morning caffeine delivered in hot form. The grand total for two biscuits and two drinks? $9.15. I can't wait to come back!

Visited Beaver Creek Biscuit during their peak lunch time. Oha Boy! This place is supposedly famous among all the poor Austillian souls that are captive to the sparse lunch restaurant options Austell has to offer. (They claim Austell as their address - not Lithia Springs) The three dining areas were sure packed and crazy like the feeding frenzy as seen in an aquaponics tank after a weekend away. Too chilly to consider the outside eating area - which I never got a glimpse. Service through the line was fast and efficient. So efficient we found ourselves hovering over the next table until they cleared out. I ordered the BBQ Pork Plate w/ fries and coleslaw. Not a pretty plate of food by any measure, just FAST N Furious. The BBQ was okay - and thankfully no gas residue flavor that I have been repeatedly plagued with recently! The portion of pork was not generous by any measure, but with the okay fries and the good coleslaw- I left satisfied enough. The slaw was pushing the sweet side of the meter, but was actually the highlighted item on my plate. For as busy as they were one could expect hotter food really. I swear, one day soon I will start packing an infrared thermometer to use as a rejection or praise meter. (FYI- I snacked as I hovered)

Really, really good pulled pork- lots of outside left in the pull to add flavor. A sauce is added as plated, but it does suit the meat well. The cole slaw is a perfect with this 'Q. Fries are real potatoes, cut fresh & fried. I look forward to going back for brisket & ribs so that I can provide a proper review!

I'm only commenting on their breakfast menu. I have yet to try their barbeque. Their biscuits are the best, not thick and gummy like Martin's biscuits which I hate.

After a 5 mile hike at Sweet water creek state park we went for lunch. The pulled pork was wonderful and so was the BBQ chicken. The only thing that did not impress was the Brunswick stew.

When they are on, they have my favorite BBQ in ATL. Both the pork and the ribs are moist, smokey and typify what my vision of BBQ is. I always order the BBQ beans and coleslaw, both being close to my favorite representation of each side. Their meats are well smoked and have great flavor without any sauce but I really like the Seminole sauce that they serve on their pork plates and sandwiches and they serve a sweeter thin red sauce on their ribs that works very well on the ribs. They serve spare ribs which are usually moist and meaty and full of flavor. Occasionally, the ribs will not have the fat sufficiently rendered and they will be fatty. That is the only complaint I have ever had with their BBQ. The original side of the restaurant qualifies as a hole in the wall but with an addition of a separate dining area that raised them slightly above hole in the wall status. This is not a knock as to my mind, that is what a real southern BBQ joint is supposed to be like. You order standing at the counter, get a number and wait, usually not too long, for your number to be called. You get your own fountain drink or iced tea, pick up your plastic flatware and straws from the small stand against the wall and grab a seat. Typically full of mostly blue collar and male business types but a smattering of families and others are usually scattered about. Doesn't seem to be a big family type restaurant (at least at the times of day I've been there). Not that they aren't conducive to bringing the family as the staff is friendly and one of the owners is usually there. John and Terry are both very nice guys and really care about their restaurant. If you're anywhere near I20 and Thornton Rd, and you like BBQ, you owe it to yourself to give them a try. Oh, apparently they serve biscuits - go figure.

BBQ - good. Baked bean - good. Coleslaw - good. French fries - good. Two thumbs up for this hidden, roadside restaurant. Can't wait to go back and try the biscuits!

Stopped in after local suggested. The BBQ sandwich was not very warm but made up for it with extra grease. I should have passed this place for a chain.

Although I'd almost call this a "hidden gem," judging by the amount of business they do, it is anything but a secret among locals. Great biscuits and fast service.

Definitely a good spot to hit up in the area for breakfast. I must say, I like this place more than Martin's for sure. The biscuits along with the biscuits and gravy are FABULOUS! Luckily, it's not TOO far away from me - only a 10 minute drive from my place. I can't wait to come back and try to the BBQ.

When I first moved to the ATL, I lived pretty close to this place and always saw it on my way to Thornton Road. It's always busy - for good reason. If you're not a Southerner (which I am not) then a chicken biscuit for breakfast is an odd idea. If you are already used this concept, then you will be unaccustomed to a genuine piece of chicken breast (nothin' fake about it!) with the most delectable seasoned breading on it, lightly fried (I was just contemplating this morning - how do they do it? It's never, ever greasy!), on a freshly baked, homemade biscuit. Delicious. Great with their homemade sausage gravy. And the tater tots are awesome. Sweet tea is also always fresh. Lunchtime, their ribs are sweet and falling off the bone. I love the pulled pork sandwich and, while I'm a fan of the thicker BBQ sauce in general, I like their sauces - they're a little different and more Carolina style. Their Brunswick stew and potato salad are both amazing, I'm pretty sure the stew is the best I've had yet. The decor is decidedly Southern (if not downright kitschy redneck) and I always see the same staffers working. Today, one of the head guys (maybe an owner?) came and sat down with us to ask how we were doing and how we liked our meal (and he suggested the spicy BBQ sauce mixed with ketchup for the tots - totally gonna try it next time). Absolutely recommend it! A family of four can stop in for breakfast for about $20, and it's all homemade. Can't beat it.

Good inexpensive breakfast... Sausage egg and cheese homemade from scratch biscuit!! Melts in your mouth. Oh and the BBQ not bad either

  • Jess P.

With a name like this, you expect something quaint, southern and delicious, but what we got was aloof and quick. No table service; you order up at the counter and the lady was less than friendly. She didn't want to answer our questions or look us in the eye, yet she still managed to condescendingly call me "sweetie". We got BBQ sandwiches which were OK, but too expensive for what they were. And no biscuits in sight. Maybe they are catering to tourists because they are right by Six Flags so they jack up their prices? Not sure....but no thank you.

Looking for a local good old fashioned Southern BBQ place? This is it. Great chopped BBQ sandwich and some of the best fries I've ever had. The fries had a certain spice to them - not hot, but just yummy different. You walk in, look at the menu on the wall, and place your order. These kinds of places have the best food - it's not about ambience, just good food and nice people. Guys from the local police station were there, and it has been my experience that they always know the best local places. Plus they were cute and nice to look at too!

I visited Beaver Creek Biscuit for the first time today and I enjoyed it. I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs and fries. The ribs were tender and succulent. They could've used more flavor but overall they were pretty good. I took my leftovers home to my hubby and he liked them even more that I did. I will definitely visit BCBC again.

Finding myself in Lithia Springs more often lately, I "stumbled" into this little place compliments of Yelp. Because it was lunch time, I opted for their BBQ. A hearty portion of chopped pork and freshly cut fries hit the spot. The BBQ sauce is OK, the hot sauce not so much; but then hot sauce is not on my list of favorite accoutrements. The stew was probably the best part of the meal. This does not compare with my favorite Q places (Swallow at the Hollow, Williamson Bros), but it's an excellent alternate to your standard run-of-the-mill fast food available in the area. Best of all, service is fast! I hope to be back soon enough to try the biscuits and see if it merits an extra star.

  • Clarissa J N.

Definitely off the beaten path, although there was a well worn area serving as a parking lot. Line was out the door, so my mouth was good and watering by the time I got to the front. Pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw with the obligatory two slices of white bread. This place sums up my childhood in the South so the words freakin' fabulous doesn't quite do it justice. A must eat!!

  • Robert M.

A little hole in the wall breakfast/lunch place which is left off of Thorton Rd (coming west on 20), than hang a left onto Flat Shoals and you'll see it on the corner. I haven't had their BBQ yet, but I go there every so often and get a breakfast biscuit. A perfect stop if you are planning on hiking in the Sweetwater Creek Park...which by the way is beautiful. Anyway, their biscuits are great! I typically get the egg and bacon biscuit but they have all kinds of options. Don't get cheese on your biscuit because for some reason they just put a piece of cold cheese on it instead of melting it in. That doesn't make much sense to me but the biscuits do...they are very good!
